The global problem of universal primary education.
The choice of topics interesting to me because it is very relevant in my
opinion. I think I can tell some thoughts about this, because I first education
teacher and I am interested in the education sector, besides all over the world. As I
understand, the main function of education is the accumulation of new knowledge,
and then transfer knowledge to a new generation. Education is a system through
which culture is transmitting as knowledge. Education is very developed to date in
many countries, but there are problems not only in underdeveloped countries. If we
remember history, in the 20 century humanity had been educated than ever before
in history, but there are still many problems. The main theme is the problem of
universal primary education in the world. Universal primary education should be
implemented throughout the world, because this is the level which should get every
person on planet earth. Unfortunately, in many countries, universal primary
education is a problem because these countries can`t implement it. UN statistics
show that more than 100 million children worldwide have a problem with getting
public school education. The main problem of universal primary education in it`s
lack of availability. No access to education in most underdeveloped countries, such
as in Africa or South Asia. Territory of the world where is no access to universal
primary education in the world very much, so the problem of education is
international. A lot of factors that influence the availability of universal primary
education, because the process of education includes many components. In almost
all countries in the constitution is proclaiming free and accessible universal
primary education, but sadly underdeveloped states have problems that hinder
access to education, which is a human tragedy in a globalizing world.
Economically underdeveloped countries have no basic infrastructure for learning.
In many regions of the world is difficult to attend school, for example, many
schools in the world is in inaccessible places. Even this problem exists in Russia,
where children can`t attend school because they are far away from settlements.
Similar problems in China or India and other countries, because there are many
small villages between which is a large population centers. This is a problem of
underdevelopment of transport and road system. Thus, if universal primary
education hasn`t got available, it hasn`t got attendance. School attendance is very
important process, because in any case, children who go to school get some
knowledge and skills. The availability of universal primary education is a factor in
school attendance. Accessibility and attendance related.
Another big problem of access to education is gender inequality. All of the
international community believes that gender equality is a fundamental human
right. Unfortunately, gender equality as the law is violating in the process of
education in many countries, which have influence the availability of the
educational process. This problem is acutely associate with a traditional way in
some countries. For example, in South Asia and Africa are studying more boys
than girls. Many girls simply don`t go to school because of cultural and religious
reasons. Just on a par with this problem is the problem of racial discrimination.
Racial discrimination is a lesser problem than gender inequality, but it exists and
affects a huge number of children worldwide. Racial discrimination pushes
children out of a total learning process. Racial discrimination in the more
developed countries than in undeveloped. Racial discrimination is creating,
because increasing the migration process from underdeveloped to developed
countries. Population is sometimes difficult to accept other races and is
discrimination that affects so many children. Underdeveloped countries have fewer
problems with racial discrimination, because usually in these countries have
representatives of the same ethnic groups and cultures. But the difference of
culture and tradition have another special problem, as gender inequality. All these
problems hinder access to education.
The next major cause of inaccessibility of primary education is the cost of
her education. In undeveloped countries, many children prefer not to go to school
and work in the field or in the household. In these countries, for many families the
economic benefits to primary education is very small to compensate for price
possible visit an educational institution. For parents this is a great difficulty to keep
the child in preparation for the educational process, even if compensated by the
formation of the state. By tradition, many parents send their children to do physical
work to earn money for the whole family for the existence, rather than go to
school. This is an acute problem in underdeveloped countries.
In developing countries around the world educational process characterized
by the conditions isn`t a monolingual environment, but rather a multi-lingual. The
problem is that children are enrolling in primary schools where the teaching
language isn`t native, and the government or the dominant society. Language
learning around the world is an important sign that children receive education.
Studies show that children learn to read faster if they are taught in their native
language, and after quickly learn another language.
Education - an investment in the future. Irregular school attendance reduces
the effectiveness of the educational process, which reduces the chances of children
for a successful future. As I noted, the world has three key problems of universal
primary education is primarily the location, gender inequality and the high cost of
education. Of course, education has other problems, but it is basic, which affect
human rights and brightly reflected in the world. In this article I was just try to
show the main problems of universal primary education in the world. In general,
these problems are characteristic of underdeveloped countries, because developed
countries are acquiring other problems in the education system, but they are more
concerning more with methodological problem than non-compliance with the
human right to education. Universal primary education has to get every human in
the world. In the next article I will try to show how to solve the problem of
universal primary education globally. Just wana to say a few words that form the
United Nations Millennium Declaration, which should by 2015 implement a
program that everyone in the world get universal primary education. Much has
already been done in the field of education worldwide. This process helps to many
international organizations with the support of all countries, for example there are
programs «Global Campaign for Education», «UNICEF», «UNESCO» and many
others. About these companies in the development of universal primary education
will be in the next article.
