BIOSANITIZER ECOTECHNOLOGY
BIOSANITIZER is a natural biocatalyst developed by BERI (Bhawalkar Ecological Research
Institute), Pune, India. It converts any polluted, dead water into “living/bio-water” that becomes
a resource for its intended use in home, agriculture and industries.
Bio-water resists scaling, corrosion, algal growth, biofouling, chemical contamination and
growth of pathogens/pests.
Bio-water nourishes humans, animals and plants. Only a few natural water springs produce
such living water today and is treated as “sacred”.
BIOSANITIZER action is based on the ecological principle of utilization of wastes as valuable
raw materials, turning them into resources, rather than separation/concentration and disposal.
The key reaction of BIOSANITIZER involves production of active oxygen; this can drive
several resource-producing reactions.
1) Harmful salts become useful minerals. In Nature. coconut water is produced from seawater,
using similar reaction. This reaction is used to convert saline/brackish water into rich mineral
water.
2) Active oxygen also takes care of pathogens and toxic organics. BIOSANITIZER, in fact, acts
as a natural factory that produces active oxygen, using pollution as the raw material.
3) BIOSANITIZER is a nano-forest that can be used in any polluted liquid or gas, to convert
pollution into resources.
APPLICATIONS
Treatment of ground and surface water without production of any residue or greenhouse gases
Treatment of wastewater without production of any sludge or greenhouse gases
Does not require any other inputs such as electricity or chemicals
Use of bio-water produced from the above projects, is a resource for ecosanitation: sanitation
without chemicals.
Spray of bio-water becomes a tool in eco-friendly composting, giving higher yield and quality
of compost, without production of odor, pests, toxic leachates or greenhouse gases.
