iPECS-CM is an All-IP communications platform providing IP
telephony, various multimedia, applications and mobility services for
medium and large businesses. It offers the latest in communications

The All-IP centralised management platform provides various options
to upgrade your current system, from traditional PBX functions to
Hot Desk, Mobile Extensions and Cloud computing environments.
The platform’s flexible and open standard interface also allows for
customisable configurations with any applications, services and end
points.
The IP architecture allows for easy monitoring and management
of remote platforms through Web Management and SNMP based
Network Management Systems.
RELIABLE SERVICE
iPECS-CM’s redundant Call Server provides high level survivability
against LAN / WAN failure or main office Call Server failure, with
redundancy provided by dual processors. This means that the
geographic redundancy structure guarantees that communications
even in geographically dispersed environments will remain in
operation during the event of a communications failure. The local
survivability allows for automatic database replication between
active and standby servers to guarantee reliable and continuous
service if such an event occurs, so your business can continue to
operate.

ACROSS MULTIPLE LOCATIONS
The iPECS-CM uses a distributed architecture across an IP Network
for clear communication without geographic limitations, providing
users across multiple locations access to the same features and
functions delivered by the central Call Server. This architecture
allows a network to be flexible and configured to suit individual
business needs, from head offices, satellite offices, remote staff and
hosted / managed services to cloud-based services.
IDEAL FOR UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS
This is an ideal platform to build a unified, cost-effective
communications solution. Ericsson-LG Enterprise iPECS UCS
(Unified Communications Software), together with iPECS-CM,
combines phones and applications, so that they can run on your PC
or mobile phone to provide calls, instant messaging, file sharing for
collaboration as well as video conferencing using a single server.
A special open API (Application Programming Interface) and UCTI
(Unified Communication Telephone Interface) for 3rd parties can be
integrated with iPECS-CM telephony functions and built into the UC
solution. You can easily integrate additional UC services to optimise
any office environment with these applications.

ENTERPRISE FMC FOR SEAMLESS COMMUNICATION
FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence) combines fixed and mobile
communications to help increase efficiency. Enterprise FMC (eFMC)
allows a personal mobile phone to be used as an extension. Unify
communications to a single device using the advanced Mobile
Extension Feature set on iPECS-CM and mobile clients (iPECS
Communicator and UCS Mobile Client). It can help improve work
efficiency and customer service as it allows you to use the iPECS-CM
functionality from your mobile phone such as to transfer calls and
place calls on hold while out of the office.

CALL SERVER
WMS (WEB MANAGEMENT SYSTEM)
The iPECS-CM Call Servers maintain control and supervision of
communication channels from call initiation to termination,
providing flexible and customisable communications solutions.
WMS is the management tool for not only system configuration but
also debugging and maintenance with an intuitive GUI. The WMS can
go directly through any web-browser to manage an iPECS-CM site
in real-time. The WMS also supports additional administrative and
maintenance functions for resource management, traffic statistics,
fault alarms and real-time system monitoring with just a few clicks.
iPECS-CM’s software-based systems are available in 4 configurations
with 2,000 / 4,000/ 10,000 / 30,000 ports, covering up to 30,000
ports with single software packages and services with call processing
protocols such as SIP, Ericsson-LG Enterprise proprietary IP protocol
and H.323.
iPECS-CM offers 2 types of servers – the embedded Gateway Module
and commodity service.
• T he embedded Gateway Module - CM-S2K, CM-S1K (Only for
Branch office Local Survivable Server) - can be installed into the
media gateway cabinet efficiently.
• T he commodity service - CM-S30K, CM-S10K, CM-S4K – employs
a standard commercial server or carrier grade server platform to
providing high performance and reliability.
MEDIA GATEWAYS
The iPECS-CM Media Gateway Modules provide a simple interface
to various standard telephony networks and terminals. PSTN, ISDN
or IP Phone, SIP, SLT or digital phone interfaces are housed in a 5U
19-inch rack or stand-alone mount cabinet.
In addition, all Media Gateways of the iPECS-LIK can be used in the
iPECS-CM. Three types of Gateway Modules can be installed in CMMGC2 or CM-1URMC:

COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER SOFTWARE
iPECS-CM has Communication Manager Software for call features
and applications control. iPECS-CM software incorporates various
applications that employ a dedicated license for the function.
Licenses are issued for each Call Server using the unique ID of the
Call Server or Call Server cluster.
