Equity Market Review- 28 June 2017
Trading activities decreased in volume as N386.24 million shares worth N3,303.34 billion in 4,372 deals exchanged hands today,
as against N417.57 million shares worth N3,246.56 billion in 5,456 deals carried Friday.
Topping in volume terms, United Bank for Africa Plc, Wema Bank Plc and Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc while
Guaranty Trust Bank Plc and United Bank for Africa Plc ended trading as the most active stocks in value.
The All Share Index appreciated by 1.67% from 32,122.14 to 32,657.30
Market Capitalization also increased to N11.29 trillion from N11.11 trillion the previous day.
A total number of 26 Stocks gained while 21 Stocks declined, leaving 68 Stocks unchanged.
Nestle Nigeria Plc emerged the toast of investors as it topped the gainers' chart with 1.11% to close at N910.00 per share.
It was followed by Dangote Cement Plc with N4.40 to close at N200.00 .Others on the gainers list include; Nigerian Breweries Plc,
Forte Oil Plc and Guaranty Trust Bank Plc.
On the Decliners' list, Okomu Oil Palm Plc with 4.99% to close at N58.49 per share.
It was followed by Unilever Nigeria Plc with 4.98% to close at N40.85 per share. Others on the decliners list include, Julius Berger
Nigeria Plc, Nascon Allied Industries Plc and May and Baker Nigeria Plc.
