Course Objective
Students will develop an overview of the most significant contributions to the arts and humanities
of traditions of world cultures. The course examines thematic content in world art, literature,
music and philosophy in an attempt to demonstrate the continuity of knowledge in world cultural
traditions.

Course Description: The course shows the thematic connections among the interdisciplinary and intercultural traditions
in world art, literature, music and philosophy from the ancient world to the presence. As a world literature based course,
students examine the most significant contributions to world literature and parallel streams of knowledge in world cultural
traditions.
