Community Foundation…

After providing for loved ones in a Will, an
increasing number of people are leaving a
bequest to help their community.
A bequest is a gift of money, stock or property
made in a Will. It is exempt from Capital Gains Tax
and will be carefully managed by the Board to
benefit the communities of the Fleurieu into the
future.
Making a bequest in your Will is a powerful way of
leaving a lasting legacy that directly benefits the

and ensuring that your investment will continue to

A bequest may be recognised as a Named
Donation and will keep giving back to your

Making a bequest may be as simple as adding a
statement to your existing Will. Such as:
“I give the sum of $.... to the Fleurieu Community
Foundation Ltd for the purposes of said
organization,, and I declare that the receipt of the
treasurer, or other proper officer for the time being
of the said organisation, shall be sufficient
discharge to my Trustees”
