Science 7 Unit C: Heat & Temperature Project Task: You will be writing a detailed, one page letter that will be addressed to Alberta’s Premier: Rachel Notley as well as West Yellowhead’s Member of Parliament: Jim Eglinski. The content of the letter will include a detailed plan proposing that Grande Cache and area make the switch from fossil fuels to another energy source of your choosing. You can suggest a switch to any energy source covered in class: Solar, Hydroelectric, Wind, Geothermal, or Nuclear, or you can choose to argue that Grande Cache and area must remain using fossil fuels. Required Information Through research, you must include information on: The pros and cons of switching energy sources Required infrastructure to generate energy as well as transport it A transition plan from fossil fuels to a new energy source Job creation during set up and operation Letters that are well written with realistic and manageable proposals will be sent to the offices of Rachel Notley and Jim Eglinski.
