celebrating
the switch to
cage-free eggs
is your
business a leader?
The Good Egg Awards present the opportunity for your
organisation to make a positive impact on animal welfare and
become a leader in your industry!
Consumers in your sector are becoming more conscious shoppers.
By sourcing eggs in a responsible manner and turning your back on
battery cages, your business can improve animal welfare and meet
the growing expectations of your customers.
leadership in australia
The Good Egg Awards celebrate companies that are showing
leadership by sourcing or switching to cage-free eggs (barn or freerange eggs) in a variety of sectors including; manufacturing, food
service, public procurement and retail.
The benefits
Hens in free-range or barn systems lead more natural lives.
Consumers believe cage-free eggs to be of higher quality, better
tasting and more natural than cage eggs. More and more Australians
are choosing wisely and switching to cage-free eggs.
International winners tell us that receiving a Good Egg Award and
letting hens out of cages has made good business sense. It's boosted
staff morale, improved brand image and reputation, and benefited
their bottom line.
The RSPCA will work with you on joint media and marketing
opportunities to make the most out of your Award, so that your
customers and competitors know you’re sourcing your products
more responsibly and Ieading the way.
The AWARDS INTERNATIONALLY
The Good Egg Awards were developed by Compassion in World
Farming to recognise the commitment of UK and European
companies that are setting free millions of hens. To date, Good Egg
Award winners have released over 20 million hens from cages every
year due to their cage-free egg policies or commitments to stop
sourcing their eggs from cage systems. In Europe and the UK, some
of the winners include:
McDonald's, Google, Hellmann's, Starbucks Coffee, Subway and
Sainsbury's.
The RSPCA encourages businesses in Australia to make this same
switch and is proud to be working with Compassion in World
Farming to bring the Good Egg Awards to Australia.
