2016 IEEE International Conference on Power System Technology – POWERCON 2016 Novotel Northbeach, Wollongong, NSW Australia 28 September – 1 October 2016 The University of Wollongong is pleased to host POWERCON 2016. The conference will be held from 28 September – 1 October 2016 at the Novotel Wollongong Northbeach. CALL FOR PAPERS The Organising Committee of POWERCON 2016 invites researchers, practitioners and students worldwide to submit papers for consideration to be presented at the conference. The conference will provide an opportunity to not only explore the challenges facing the power grid of the future, but also to share a vision for solutions to those challenges. Contributions are particularly encouraged in the following subject areas in Power Engineering: Power Quality (PQ) Power System Reliability Distributed Generation Renewable Energy Energy Management Energy Efficiency Transmission and Distribution Modelling and Simulation Power Systems Control & Protection Power System Operation and Planning Power Electronics and Drives Electrical Machines and Transformers Smart Grid Development Sustainable Energy Technologies Industrial Automation and Control AI Applications in Power Systems High Voltage Systems HVDC and FACTS Devices Diagnostics & Condition Monitoring Electric Vehicles and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) Power Engineering Education Electricity Market and Power System Economics Submission Guidelines Submission of full papers for consideration to be included at the conference is via an online submission system at the conference website http://ieee-powercon.org/. Papers with a maximum length of 6 pages must be prepared as a PDF file in IEEE PES technical conference work format. Instructions for preparing papers in IEEE PES technical conference work format can be found at the IEEE PES website. The papers in the conference will be made available in IEEE Explore. Important Dates 1 December 2015: Paper submission system opens 15 April 2016: Paper submission system closes 30 June 2016: Final notification of paper acceptance. Authors will be informed of necessary revisions if any and instructed how to proceed with final submissions.
