Mobile- Create a Mobile using construction paper, a coat hanger and string. Your Mobile can be over a
certain element or a Grouping ( Metals, Nonmetals or Metalloids)
 If you create a Mobile on an element the mobile must include information on Element name,
atomic number, symbol, if it is a metal, nonmetal or metalloid, the Density of the element, what can
be made with the element, and any other interesting information. BE CREATIVE!!!
 If you create a Mobile over the Periodic table, Metals, Metalloids, or Nonmetals you need to
include the Name, properties of that group ( luster….), number of elements in the group, examples of
elements and their uses
Steps to create a Mobile
1. Cut out any shape from the paper to place your information and pictures on
2. Write your information on your shaped cards- REMEMBER this needs to be clearly written
information that can be seen when the mobile is hanging from the ceiling. There is not a
limit for how many shapes you have
3. Using a hole punch, punch a hole at the top center of the cut-out.
4. Thread yarn through the punched out hole.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 3 for each shape.
6. You can bend your hanger however you want to and your name needs to be on it
2.
Create a Element Advertisment- Create an advertisement for your element using white and
colored paper.
The advertisement must include the element’s name, symbol, atomic number, atomic mass, cost, and an
advertising slogan that describes one or more of its important uses. Advertisements must be neat,
