Teacher: Contreras Teacher: Katie Saint John Campus: Akins HS 10 Min Assessment(s): (attach copies of assessment documents, criteria and rubrics) Formative- Warm up, students’ work/participation in stations, exit slip Summative- None ILL/504/SpEd accommodations: Because 2ND period is an inclusion class, Mr. Rocha, the class’s teaching aide, will be present during the lesson. Most of these students need a little extra time as well as verbal assistance with handouts, so the teacher will be sure to rotate throughout the room during the lesson and provide this help when needed. Lesson Overview / teacher notes: There is a ton of information to cover in this lesson, so the teacher must constantly be aware of time and ensure that the students are staying on-task and completing their stations packets as thoroughly as possible— with true understanding and learning— in the time allotted. While the teacher will spend the first activity of the rotation leading the drawing activity of Station #3, she must also monitor the rest of the class as best she can and make the most of the remaining time to visit all of the other groups. Thankfully, two other teachers/aides will also be in the room, so the teacher may rely on them to help monitor the other groups during the first 10 minutes of every rotation.
