Families Programme Contract Manager
£20,078 to £23,251 per annum
37.5 hours per week
Main Purpose:
Engage with Families who have been referred to the programme who are identified as
having multiple problems. Provide appropriate support, challenge and guidance to your
caseload and for as many as possible secure appropriate, long term, sustainable outcomes;
and move either closer to the job market or into work completely.
The lead role will provide support to other Key Family Mentors and be a single point of
contact for the Families Programme Contract Manager, providing operational updates on
contract delivery and quality assurance.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
1.Manage a caseload of customers organised into family groups to ensure appropriate and
effective contractual activity is undertaken by all customers according to their level of job
readiness.
2. Address customer’s personal and contextual constraints to employment, providing
challenge, advice and guidance where appropriate to develop customer’s capability in the
recruitment process so they have the skills and confidence to secure employment, which
may include the delivery of employability skills.
3. Provide support to re-integrate marginalised families back into the community on issues
such as debt/money management, housing, caring for carers or healthy living whilst
signposting to specialist services for drug and alcohol addiction or domestic violence.
4. Identify, structure and recommend vacancy and training solutions, working in close
consultation with EECs and Tutors, to meet the specific needs of customers and employers.
5. Provide advice, guidance and support for customers during their initial weeks of
employment, supporting them and their family in the transition from welfare to employment.
Engage with family members to maximise support and the potential for customers to sustain
employment in the long term.
6. Develop relationships and networks with key stakeholders including employers, jobcentre
teams, local authorities and provisions and funding providers to ensure smooth operation of
all processes
7. Observe and adhere to our customer service standards so that all customers are provided
with the same high standard of service that maximises their chances of securing sustainable
employment.
8. Maintain paperwork and customer records to a required quality standard to ensure the
customer journey is documented in accordance with our quality standards and upload onto
our MI System, PICs.
9. Ensure compliance with our company policies (including Health & Safety, Safeguarding,
Lone Working and Data Security) so customers and colleagues are protected at all times.
10. Manage a caseload of Volunteer Mentors who will support you in a hand holding role
with your caseload of families.
Contract Specific
The role of KFM is to provide effective day-to-day delivery of the project, working one to one
and in groups with family members to assess their needs and improve their chances of
Education, Training and Employment. This role involves working in centres, community
centres and the wider community setting. As well as the above duties specifically the role will
involve:




Co-ordinating the participant caseload from screening and assessment of needs
once referred.
Inputting of assessments, reviews, referrals and target achievement on the PICS
system
It is expected that 75% of the participants achieve three progress measures to move
them closer to work, and 23% will achieve and sustain work.
Working within guidance issued by Twin, DWP and ESF as they apply to the post.
