Popliteal Fossa and Posterior Leg
Objectives:
1. To learn the boundaries of the popliteal fossa region.
2. To learn the contents of the popliteal fossa and their relationships.
3. To study the muscles of the superficial compartment of the posterior leg,
including their attachments, innervation, and blood supply.
4. To study the muscles of the deep compartment of the posterior leg,
including their attachments, innervation, and blood supply.
5. To be aware of the structures which pass under the flexor retinaculum
and their relationships.
