Dyslexia Action: Job Description
Job Title: Online Specialist Teacher
Reporting Relationships


Reports to Head of Educational Development
Works under the professional guidance of the Head of Educational Development
to ensure the quality of delivery.
Job Purpose




Developing the learning programmes and content and an online course as
coordinated by the Project Manager.
Contributing to development of a training package for online specialist teachers.
Delivering the learning programmes through an online learning platform to a
range of beneficiaries, including disengaged young people
Contributing to the promotion of Dyslexia Action locally, regionally and nationally
including the development of dyslexia awareness.
Usual office base: Dyslexia Action, Leicester Centre
Main Duties
Responsible for:
1.
Developing high quality materials and content compatible with online delivery
2.
Utilising Dyslexia Action tools such as Hidden Disability Questionnaire and Units
of Sound, and devise other tools, as part of the online programme
3.
Together with stakeholders, identify young people to take part in the programme
and induct the young people onto the programme
4.
Completion of all records and reports with regards to the online programmes
5.
Taking part in the evaluation activities for the project, including gathering
feedback from young people and recording the feedback as directed
6.
Working with others, to develop a training package for online specialist teachers
7.
Supporting the progression of learners taking part in the online programme
8.
Attending and participating at staff meetings and in training and development
opportunities as determined by the Project Manager or Head of Educational
Development
9.
This job description needs to be considered in the context of a developing and
evolving area of service delivery and therefore the duties described about will
need to be adapted to meet the need of the Operations area and Dyslexia Action
