GRADUATE/JUNIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR POSITION AVAILABLE
DESCRIPTION: Graduate/Junior Quantity Surveyor – Office Based - Kilkenny City
The role of Graduate/Junior Quantity Surveyor is with a leading controlled environment and modular
construction contractor with projects throughout Ireland and Europe.
Modubuild is an Irish company based in Kilkenny who work for a broad spectrum of clients from
indigenous SME’s right up to global leading blue chip companies in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device,
Food Production and Data storage industries.
They are now looking to hire a Graduate/Junior QS to work as part of their commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor to join a progressive company.
The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Quantity Surveying. Experience working with in a QS
practice/building contractor is an advantage but not essential.
The ideal candidate will also:




Be enthusiastic, a good communicator with drive and ambition
Will have the ability to work to tight deadlines and budgets
Have a good working knowledge and understanding of contracts
Be fully competent in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Preparation and Submission of Tender documentation
Tender analysis
Contract Administration
Valuation & variation preparation and analysis
Cost Reporting
Measurement
Project cost control
Management of sub-contract packages
