This award, competed for this year by 64 companies, recognises the efforts and merits of businesses that
pursue the innovation challenge by offering the market advanced ideas that incorporate the concepts of
efficiency and energy saving.
The 15 finalists were invited to present their solutions before a panel of experts and to the audience. The 2011
winners include Comenda - which received the Gold Award thanks to total commitment in promoting the
product on the part of Dawson MMP (www.dawsonmmp.co.uk), Comenda’s exclusive distributor for Great
Britain.
The jury was impressed by the amazing energy saving – and hence cost saving – resulting from the use of the
CRC heat recovery system, and by the perfect standard of hygiene achieved.
The heat recovery unit can be incorporated into any Comenda hood dishwasher or ware washing system, and
can achieve up to 25% energy saving. The heat produced by the machine is transferred to the water, allowing
connection to the cold water supply without the need to increase the installed power. Furthermore, with the
CRC system, the steam produced at the end of the washing cycle is condensed and cooled, with the air being
released into the room at an ideal temperature to guarantee maximum operator comfort.
The CRC unit is representative of Comenda’s philosophy, which is shared by the company’s exclusive dealer
Dawson MMP. The heat recovery unit is part of an ongoing project for developing top-performance solutions
identified by the Eco2 mark, which incorporates the concepts of economy of management and ecology, values
that inspire the company’s entire modus operandi, as confirmed by ISO 14001 environmental certification
recently obtained by Comenda.
