Special objectives:
To know the work organization of children's dental units;

Definition about sanitary and anti-epidemic mode in dental practice, main principles and
performance control. Definition of an asepsis and antiseptics. Antiseptics methods.
Topic 23. Disinfection.
Disinfection definition and its purpose. Disinfection sections and kinds. Basic disinfection
methods. Categories of risk of infectious factors in contrast to environmental factors. Chemical
substances used for disinfection, their impact on microorganisms.
Topic 24. Presterilizing cleaning and sterilization.
Concept of presterilizing cleaning, the basic ways. Stages of presterilizing cleaning, preparation
of purgative solution. Features of the mechanized way of presterilizing clearing. Quality
assurance of presterilizing tools treatment (rules and technique of tests documentation).
Concept of sterilization, the basic methods and sterilization means. Quality assurance of
sterilization depending on method.
Topic 25. Treatment of dental toolkit and the equipment in a dental room. Cleaning of premises
in dental unit.
Dental installation and its protection levels. Rules and methods of treatment of tips, basic dental
tools, small dental toolkit (pine forests, endodontic tools, and so forth). Sterilization and
disinfection of saliva ejectors, optical paths, a dressing and so forth. Rules and devices for
storage of sterile toolkit. Current disinfection and general cleaning of premises (periodicity,
stages and appropriate documentation).

Work safety regulations in a physiotherapeutic room. Equipment, technique, indication and
contra-indication to carry out of U-therapy, UFO-THERAPY, darsonvalism, electrophoresis
medical products, hydrotherapy in dental practice.
Topic 27. The work organization of a X-ray room
Work safety regulations in X-ray room. Rules and carrying out roentgenography techniques of
teeth and jaws (orthopantogram, intraoral contact roentgenography)
