Welcome to the Adobe Contribute Training Session.
About our Contribute Template:
A. Our Web Template can be broken down into separate sectors, each ruled by
unique CSS style properties. These sectors include: Top Links, Mast Head, Left
Bar (Content Area), Right Bar (Navigation), & bottom bar (contact link ,
updating script and site map link). The Web template is set up for the user to
take advantage of the various styles provided. Also, this template is XHTML
1.0 Transitional and is Web Compliant.
B. Our Navigation Bar should be listed with bullets “<ul><li></li></ul>”.
This will ensure uniformity across all web pages, and aid the visually impaired
by addressing accessibility standards.
C. The Bottom Bar has a built in script that is set to update the publishing date
every time you upload to the server.
D. Being Expressive. You are encouraged to utilize graphics and explore
design possibilities. Please be aware of copyright data when selecting graphics
for your pages. Also, please be aware of file size and resolution. Files should
not exceed 72dpi and should be measurable in kb rather than mb. Your ability
to apply different style properties that are outside of our Districts’ style sheet
has been turned off. The goal here being uniformity.
E. Always back up your work, even after you have published a page! You can
save a draft to the machine you are working on, or choose the “Save a Draft
for Review” option. This will allow you to access your draft from any machine
set up with Contribute via the internet.
