ONLINE STEADY STATE PRODUCTION OPTIMIZER
ONLINE DYNAMIC PRODUCTION OPTIMIZER provides the production with a cost effective optimization
tool utilizing a configurable PC based steady state process simulator that replicates equipment performance
and process behavior under real plant conditions, based on true data.
The plant’s existing Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition SCADA system provides a visual interface in
the form of mimic displays and crucially access to all ONLINE process parameters that can be downloaded
to Microsoft Excel™ via data highways, for data analysis and optimization.
The ONLINE INTEGRATION is achieved by automatic retrieval of real plant process data and equipment
parameters from SCADA directly to the powerful and flexible steady state process simulation software
CHEMCAD developed by Chemstations Inc. Nor-Par Online A/S has developed the SCADA2CC software
that accomplishes the integration task in online mode. This solution has successfully simulated all the
economically significant chemical processes and sustainable technologies. The software has open
connectivity to provide the platform for innovative integrated solutions and customer focused development is
ongoing to meet the future challenges.
The ONLINE STEADY STATE PRODUCTION OPTIMIZER will be installed on a dedicated PC provided with
an appropriate communications link to the existing plant SCADA system for downloading on-line plant data to
drive the optimizer. The optimizer results can be fed back to the plant SCADA system to adjust process
operating conditions online provided appropriate safety integrity checking procedures are implemented.
