When beginning Geometry, my 4th
graders learned about lines, rays,
angles, points, and line segments.
Here are a few pictures of my
students building these different
geometric terms with different pieces
of candy (Twizzlers, M&Ms, and
Hershey Kisses)
My students also learned a new kind
of “Simon Says.” They used geometric
figures to play this game, including
point, line, line segment, ray, angle,
parallel lines, perpendicular lines, and
intersecting lines. This was a fun way
to help the students to learn these
definitions and prepare for their
upcoming assessments.
I have integrated these photos into a word document. They were taken by my digital camera, uploaded through my computer’s
software, edited and imported through the word software.
