Job Purpose:
To support the delivery of the National Game Strategy in the CFA in partnership with key stakeholders.
 To increase the number of 16-19 year olds playing football on a regular basis in Further Education Colleges
 To increase the number of 16-19 year olds making the transition to play football in FA Charter Standard Clubs and Small-Sided Football (SSF)Centres
 To support the development of satellite clubs on college sites for 14-16 year olds
 To increase the number of 14-16 year olds playing football on a regular basis in Secondary Schools
 To recruit 14-17 year olds to attend FA Vauxhall SSF Youth programmes (Mash Up)
 To create new volunteers supporting school and college football and Charter Standard Clubs and Leagues

Key Accountabilities:
Growth and Retention
 To implement FA Just Play recreational football centres to support young people to re-engage in football.
 To implement TEAM NINETEEN Leagues in colleges and Sixth forms for 16-19 year olds.
 To design, develop and implement a College Club Links programme to support the development of more players moving into Charter Standard Clubs.
 To create partnerships with SSF Commercial providers to provide regular playing opportunities for students in and outside of college.
 To support the recruitment of players into the FA Vauxhall SSF Youth Programme targeting 14-17 year olds
 To support colleges to run recreational football programmes for 14-16 year olds, in partnership with local secondary schools (TEAM SIXTEEN).
Raise Standards and improve behaviour
 Promote the Charter Standard Programme.
 Support the development of more players moving into Charter Standard Clubs
 Support the implementation of Respect
 Promote The FA’s Safeguarding Children and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Policy and Procedures (e.g. responsible recruitment; relationships of trust)
Better Players
 Implement programmes to assist players from underrepresented groups to progress through the player pathway

 Develop a Coach Education programme to support students and provide them with opportunities to develop.
Running the game effectively
 Support the effective management of affiliation data through the County Administration System.
 Identify flexible formats of the game which support growth in participation.
 Support the development of the County Plan and associated delivery plans.
Workforce
 To deliver a Football Futures programme to develop new volunteers and sustain existing volunteers for school, college and community football programmes including
the development of Student Management Teams to run and sustain TEAM SIXTEEN/TEAM NINETEEN.
 Work with the County Referees Development Officer to provide courses that will complement and enhance student programmes
Facilities
 Work with SSF providers to encourage preferential use of facilities and link into the Vauxhall Youth programme
Marketing PR and Communications:
 Support the delivery of targeted FA campaigns incl. Just Play
 Positively raise the profile and the perception of the CFA in leading and developing grass roots football
 Utilise data and good practise examples to positively promote the game with/through partners and media outlets

WHAT IS NEEDED TO CARRY OUT THE ROLE?
Person Specification (Key Skills And Experience Required): Essential
 Degree or graduate calibre
 Experience of Leadership and Volunteering
 Experience of Working with young people aged 16-19
 Working with Teachers or Coaches
 Experience of organising and implementing programmes or events
 Experience of evaluating programmes or events
 Ability to work effectively in a team
 Good project Management Skills
 Good problem solving skills
 Track record of delivering
 A sound understanding of sport equity principles.
 Experience of working with multiple partners
 IT literate and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
etc.)
 Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
 Ability to manage own time and act on own initiative.
 Willingness to work unsocial hours, including evenings, weekends and occasional
overnight stays (as and when required).
 Drivers Licence and access to vehicle
Person Specification (Key Skills And Experience Required): Desirable
 FE teaching or lecturing experience
 Sports Development experience
 Coordinating enrichment programmes or college sport
 Administrative ability, including report writing, chairing meetings etc.
 An ability to influence key stakeholders.
 Ability to research and analyse information.
 Excellent Presentation skills
 Understanding of Sport England Youth Strategy
 Understanding of The FA National Game Strategy
 Understanding of British College Sport
