Science Vocabulary Tic-Tac-Toe Choose three activities “in a row” to complete your weekly vocabulary assignment. You must staple all of your work to this sheet AND you must have the boxes checked off with the activities that you’ve completed. Please remember to use different vocabulary words for each activity! Your vocabulary is due on Friday. (10 pts.) Make up a tongue twister about your word that shows you know its meaning. You must make up a tongue twister for at least 5 words. Vocabulary 4 Squares Use the Vocabulary 4 Square Worksheet to make 4 squares for 4 of your vocab words. Use the vocabulary study sheet provided to map out 2 of your vocabulary words. Foldables: Choose 4 vocab words and create either vocab windows or definition picture books (other ideas may be acceptable, please check with me if you have other ideas!) Vocabulary Connections WS: Show how 2 of your vocabulary words are connected. *Must use 10 vocab words total and make 5 connections. Flash cards Choose 10 of your words and make flash cards (word on one side, definition on the other) *these may be made on the computer Vocabulary cards: Create a puzzle on Choose 4 words and create vocabulary http://www.discoveryeducation.com/freecards for each word puzzlemaker/ Word You must use at least 10 words and may create a criss-cross puzzle (with clues). WORDSEARCHES will receive no points!!! Picture Sentence using the vocab word and clue words to show you know its meaning. Pretend that you are an alien being that just moved to earth. You are describing what you see in your journal (in English please). Use at least 5 of your vocabulary words within your journal entry. Make sure you show that you know what each word means!
