Virgil is a Roman poet. Friend of Augustus Caesar, first Emperor of
Rome, 27 BC. Born 400 years after Aeschylus, and died just before Jesus – 70
BC to 19 BC.
Aeneas is from Troy. (Pergamus, Ilium, Teucrians, Dardans, Dardanians,
Phrygians.) He is the son of Anchises. His son is Ascanius, also called Iulius.
He is on his way to found Rome (Latium, Latin, Laurentine, Lavinian,
Hesperia).
Juno is patron of the city of Carthage. (Tyrian, Lybian, Punic,
Phoenician.)
Dido is queen of Carthage. (She is also called Elissa.)
