INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): The TOEFL is an Internet-based Test (iBT) required by almost all U.S. colleges and universities for students whose principal language is not English. The test is made up of three multiple choice sections: 1. listening comprehension, 2. structure and 3. written expression, and 4. reading comprehension The test takes approximately four hours to administer. The TOEFL should be taken IN ADDITION to the SAT Reasoning Test or ACT. Students may e-mail [email protected] or call 1-877-863-3546 for more information. The registration forms are found online on the website: www.ets.org/toefl IMPORTANT Student Eligibility Guidelines To take the TOEFL, students must be a US citizen or have a current valid passport. If you are not a US citizen or you do not have a valid passport, in order to take the TOEFL, you must contact the ETS Office of Testing Integrity (1-609-406-5430, fax: 1-609-406-9709, or e-mail: [email protected]) before you register. If you do not contact the Office of Testing Integrity before registering and are not admitted to the test, you will forfeit your test fee. TOEFL Testing and Service Fee: $180.00 Fee Reduction Service Fee reductions are available for ELIGIBLE seniors who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents planning to test in the United States.
