Converts strain gauge input to standardized isolated analog output. Can be used with up to 4 load cells. Exact Measurement with 4- or 6-wire sensor connection method and very high accuracy of 0.05% for precise signal processing. Push buttons provide for simple and reliable on-site calibration of different load cells. 5.7kV isolation between input, output and power supply protects against transients and secures PLC input. Simple tare compensation of the empty weight or zero offset, manually via push button on front panel or external connection via PLC output. Back-up section ACT20P Bridge – Calibration low level Skipping of calibration points While the tank is at low level, Push Up/Down buttons together to enter the calibration mode Set the output to 5.6mA using the UP/Down pushbuttons Push the Enter button, which enables the High level calibration Low is approx 10% of tank = 5.6mA PLC ACT20P Bridge – Calibration high level With the contents at the high level Use the Up/Down pushbuttons to adjust output to 17.6 mA. Now the ACT20P Bridge can accurately measure the tank level/volume. E.g. 2mV/V means for a 10V supply voltage the strain gauge output at maximum load is 20mV – so the input range of the ACT20P Bridge might be 0 – 20mV. - Excitation voltage: The supply voltage for the Wheatstone bridge, commonly 5V or 10VDC, and derived from the ACT20P Bridge. - 4-wire input: The connections between the ACT20P Bridge and the load cell are the input (+), input (-), Excitation (+), Excitation (-). - 6-wire input: In addition to the 4-wire connections (above), there are sense (+) and sense (-) for temperature compensation for the input connections.
