Wholegrains TheHealthyEatingPlateencouragesconsumerstochoosewholegrainsandlimitrefinedgrains, sincewholegrainsarebetterforhealth.Inthebody,refinedgrainslikewhitebreadandwhite riceactlikesugar.Eatingtoomuchoftheserefined‐grainfoodsoveranextendedperiodoftime canmakeithardertocontrolweightandpossiblyraisetheriskofheartdiseaseanddiabetes (HarvardUniversitySchoolofPublicHealth).
