4. Patient with LBBB
- Use your mouse or pad to control the
camera view
- Or tap on the preset camera views at
the top left corner
- Observe the wide QRS on Lead I ECG
5. Pacing from Distal 1 - RV coil
- Tap on “PACE” in the MultiPoint™
Pacing window to start pacing from the
Distal 1 electrode to RV coil
- Observe that the QRS on Lead I ECG
has narrowed, but only marginally
6. Phrenic Nerve
- Tap on “Show Phrenic Nerve” to see
the Phrenic Nerve and the Diaphragm
- The Phrenic Nerve is stimulated due to
its proximity to Distal 1 electrode,
causing the Diaphragm to twitch
- Tap on “Hide Phrenic Nerve”
7. MPP Vectors
- Tap on “MPP Vectors”
- Choose a different vector configuration
e.g. Proximal 4 - RV coil + Mid 3 - RV
coil
- Observe the narrowing on the QRS in
the Lead I ECG
- Note: you may select and drag all pop-up
windows

8. MPP Delays
- Tap on “MPP Delays”
- You may change the delay in ms
between LV1 and LV2 (Delay 1) and
between LV2 and RV (Delay 2)
- Note: Small changes in the delay may not be
visible due to the simulation time step
9. Pause and Scroll
- Tap anywhere on the ECG line to
pause the simulation
- Scroll the blue time-line backwards by
using the grey slider below the ECG line
- You may also use the ←→ arrows on
your keyboard to advance back and
forth by one simulation step
- Tap on the ECG line again to continue
10. Myocardial Contraction
- Tap on the “Contraction” icon
- Observe the synchronised myocardial
contraction on the ventricles
11. MPP Measurements
- Tap on “Measurements” to display:
- S-L Delay: time delay between septum
and lateral LV wall (points S and L)
- LVEF: Ejection fraction % in the LV
- Averaged dP/dt max
- Note: LVEF is calculated only when
contraction is switched on

2. Other GUI
12-Lead Patient ECG
- Displays the 12-lead ECG of a relevant patient case
- The pop-up window can be dragged around
- Tap on the icon again to return to the main simulation window
Controls on 12-Lead Patient ECG window:
Changes Vector Configuration
Closes 12-Lead Patient ECG window
12-Lead Simulated ECG
- Displays live simulated 12-lead ECG
- Tap on the icon again to return to the main simulation window

- Pauses the simulation
- This has the same effect as tapping on the live ECG in the main simulation window
- Displays the ECG graph paper
- Enabled only when the simulation in paused
12x1
Displays the ECG in 12x1 or 6x2 format
- Activates ECG calipers
- Enabled only when the simulation is paused
- Tap anywhere on the ECG to mark the “start” point of the caliper measure. Tap again

to mark the “end” point
The caliper reports the distance in ms between the “start” and “end” blue lines.

Defibrillator
- Activates the Defibrillator
- Tap on “CHARGE”
- When it flashes red/green, tap on “SHOCK” to defibrillate
Heart View Options
- Activated heart anatomy view options
- Cross-section, coronary arteries and veins, main vessels and valves, torso, rib-cage,
etc.
Muscle Contraction
- Activates myocardial contraction on ventricles
- The muscle contracts in response to the electrical AP wave activation
- The ventricles are displayed in cross-section and the atria in “ghost” mode
- Note: the simulation may execute a little slower when the contraction is switched on
Full Screen
- Sets full screen mode
- Tap on the icon again to exit full screen or press the ESC key on your keyboard

Preset Camera Views (top-left corner of application window)
AP: Anterior Posterior view
CRANIAL: Cranial view at +45º
CAUDAL: Caudal view at -30º
RAO: Right Anterior Oblique view at +60º
LAO: Left Anterior Oblique view at -40º
!: Intermediate views
+/-: Zoom in/out
Tools & Settings
- Tap to toggle between pacing parameters and settings
Heart Rate (bpm)
Sets the heart rate in beats per minute
Tap on the +/- buttons to increase/decrease the heart rate in 5 bpm steps
Tap on the “Heart Rate” to reset the heart rate (default rate: 77 bpm)
Range: 40-120 bpm

Pacing Rate (bpm)
Sets the pacing rate of the pacing stimulus (in beats per minute)
Tap on the +/- buttons to increase/decrease the pacing rate in 5 bpm steps
Tap on the “Pacing Rate” to reset the heart rate (default rate: 55 bpm)
Range: 40-120 bpm
