Board Member Profile: David W Moore
After moving to Northville 17 years ago, David Moore quickly felt Northville’s strong sense of community and knew it was the right place with
the right school district to raise his family. As his children have grown
and began playing sports, David became involved with the Northville
Youth Football Association. From that, David assisted with Turf Club,
a consortium of community members representing numerous Northville
area organizations and businesses and spearheaded by the Northville
Educational Foundation, to help raise funds to renovate Eight Mile
Stadium.
Through his involvement with Turf Club, David became more aware of
the Northville Educational Foundation and viewed joining its Board as a
way to impact the Northville Public Schools beyond just athletics.
David and his wife, Cheryl, have two children in the Northville Public Schools, a 17-year old daughter
at Northville High School and a 13-year old son at Hillside Middle School. David is Director of Sales
at 3D Systems, a leader in consumer and industrial 3D printing and manufacturing solutions.
During his two years on the NEF Board thus far, David lends his sales skills by serving on the Fundraising Committee and by helping to roll out the $20.15 Sustainability Campaign. David’s top goal for
the Northville Educational Foundation is for it to become sustainable so that Northville students can
benefit from its funding for years to come. To reach this goal, he is working with Board members to
build an endowment fund that is able to annually support the school district just off the interest it
earns.
The Northville Educational Foundation appreciates David’s commitment to positively impacting the
future of NEF and the Northville Public Schools.
