CARE FOR AN
EXTRAORDINARY
COMMUNITY
NORTHVILLE HEALTH CENTER DIRECTORY 2014
M-LINE 800-962-3555
WELCOME
On behalf of the University of Michigan Health System, I want to tell you how
pleased we are to be joining the Northville community.
With the opening of our new center, we are able to more easily connect with
patients and colleagues in this area. To create a more ideal patient care
experience, we’ve brought a number of specialty services for adults and children
under one roof.
From our service hours to the organization of our parking lot, we’ve strived to
make this facility and our specialists accessible to patients and providers in
the Northville area. We hope to partner with local providers to deliver the same
quality specialty care the University of Michigan has always offered, but now in a
closer location for the convenience of both patients and referring providers.
We will be offering adult, women’s and pediatric specialty care including
ophthalmology, infusion, a procedures unit, radiology and blood drawing suite,
and a Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Center. In this directory, you’ll see a listing
of all our services including providers and contact information.
If you have any questions about making a referral to one of our Northville
services, don’t hesitate to contact M-LINE for assistance at 800-962-3555.
We look forward to connecting with you.
Best,
Audrey Fan, MD

PHYSICAL AND
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Our Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy teams
provide expert, customized care to patients facing acute
conditions or interruptions to daily living. Occupational
Therapy helps patients whose ability to cope with
the tasks of daily living is threatened or impaired by
developmental deficits, injury, illness, psychological or
social disability, or the aging process. Treatment may
include assessment and training in the activities of daily
living; hand function skills; prosthetics; environmental
alterations; positioning techniques; visual, perceptual
and cognitive skills; orthotics training; use of adaptive
equipment; and involvement in leisure and
recreational activities.
Physical Therapy evaluates and treats patients with
acute conditions (fractures, burns, wounds, cardiac and
pulmonary diseases, back/spinal injuries and trauma)
and chronic conditions (vascular diseases, amputations,
neurological deficits, orthopedic and musculoskeletal
disabilities). The team helps optimize patients’ mobility
through treatment and education including therapeutic
exercise, mobility training, and airway clearance
techniques, use of assistive devices, and heat, cold,
light, water and sound therapies.
