Lesson Plan #019
Date: Tuesday October 25th, 2016
Class: Geometry
Topic: Proving triangles congruent by the A.S.A postulate
Aim: How do we prove triangles congruent by the A.S.A postulate?
HW #019:
Objectives:
1) Students will be able prove triangles congruent using the A.S.A. postulate
Do Now:
Statements
Assignment #1: Construct two triangles by constructing a copy of
the line segment below and constructing a copy of one angle on
one endpoint of the line segment and a copy of the other angle at
the other endpoint.
PROCEDURE:
Write the Aim and Do Now
Get students working!
Take attendance
Give Back HW

Let’s explore pairs of triangles that have two corresponding angles congruent and the
included side congruent.

Postulate:
Two triangles are congruent if two angles and the included side of one triangle are congruent respectively to two angles and
the included side of the other [a.s.a. a.s.a]
