PERRY LOCAL SCHOOLS GUARANTEED AND VIABLE CURRICULUM 4TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES STRAND TOPICS POWER OBJECTIVE #1 SUPPORTING INDICATORS THEME: Ohio in the United States History 4.H Historical Thinking and Skills Heritage Explain how interactions of various groups of people who lived in Ohio have resulted in both cooperation and conflict. (4.H.3) 4.H.1 Create a timeline of the significant events in Ohio and the United States. 4.H.3.a Compare and contrast how Native Americans-prehistoric and historic peoples interacted in both cooperating and conflicting ways. 4.H.3.b Compare how immigrants (French, Scottish, Irish, Slaves, migrants from other colonies) cooperated with each other and Native Americans to help Ohio grow .
