Specifications

sieve.
Time Schedule
Contractor to deliver May 1, 2017.

Detail:
Involves hauling to our stockpile locations at the town works yard or south stockpile
yard, as well as streets and roads within the Town.

Aggregate shall consist of sound, hard, durable particles free of organic matter, soft shale or other
foreign material.
A Geotechnical consultant (3rd party) will take samples while crushing is in progress, or from
existing stockpiles.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. The Director of Public Works or his appointed delegate will supervise under the general
direction and subject to the approval of the Town of Wainwright the described work.
2. This document will be returned in a sealed envelope and be in the hands of the Director of
Public Works before 3:00 pm, Friday March 17, 2017
3. All tenders will be opened after 3:00 pm, Friday March 17, 2017.
4. Firms whose tenders are accepted will be notified by March 22, 2017 and must be prepared to
commence carrying out the work described within one week of notification. If work cannot be
carried out when requested, the Town of Wainwright may engage another firm to carry out this
project.
5. Price to include supply and delivery to stock pile yard or various streets or locations within the
Town.
6. This tender is irrevocable for Thirty (30) days after the closing date for receipt of tenders and
the owner may at anytime within such period accept this tender whether any other tender has
previously been awarded or not.
7. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
8. All materials supplied will be subjected to various technical tests (3 rd party on site) to ensure
that the specifications are met prior to delivery and the Town of Wainwright’s decision as to
suitability will be binding.
9. Upon mutual agreement the Town may consider extending contract for an additional year.
10. All Contractors and subcontractors must have a current Town of Wainwright Business License.
