Introduction
If you don’t know the difference between a dwarf planet and a planet, here you go!
Both orbit the sun. Both a dwarf
planet and a planet have enough mass to
assume a nearly round shape. A dwarf
planet has asteroids in its orbit. Both are
not a moon.
Pluto, Charon, nix, hydrana. Ceres, dysnomis, Eris, and earth.
A moon is a
large body in the
sky that shines at
night and is a
satellite of a
planet.
A few dwarf planets compared to the size of earth.

Some people believe that
Dwarf Planets can become
Planets by asteroids
hitting it and both clearing
it’s neighborhood and
becoming bigger
1
Powerful Pluto
Pluto is one of the most known dwarf planets. Most people
know about Pluto because it is the first discovered dwarf planet.
Some people don’t know this but Pluto has three Moons.
The three moons are Nix, Hydra, and Charon. Imagine this, our
moon is bigger than Pluto and Pluto has three moons! Also
imagine a moon with moons on it.

because
there is asteroids in their orbit and the
asteroids get caught in their force of Gravity.

Pluto used to be a planet
but got demoted to a
dwarf planet in 2005 to be
a dwarf planet.

Enormous Eris
Eris is the biggest Dwarf Planet and it is in the
Kuiper Belt. Eris has a weird pathway that goes out of
the Kuiper belt.
It only has one moon compared to Pluto. The one
moon is Dysnomia.
The Kuiper belt is an asteroid belt that separates
our solar system and other solar systems.
Eris and Dysnmia.

It takes the longest on Eris
to make a year.

3
Super Ceres
Ceres lives in the first asteroid belt or main belt. It has
no moons and was the third discovered Dwarf Planet. Most
people don’t know about Ceres.
Most people don’t know this but Ceres has water on
it! If there is any water on a dwarf planet or a planet there
can be life on it.
If there is any life on a dwarf planet or a planet there
usually only is bacteria living on it.
What is inside Ceres.
A part of Ceres’s Pathway.
Out of this world facts
Ceres is the hottest dwarf
planet.

Make Makemake
Makemake (pronounced mah- kee- mah- kee) lives in the
same place as Pluto, Eris, and Haumau. Makemake was
discovered in March 2005 by M.E. Brown, C.A. Trajillo, and D.L.
Rabinowitz.
People have found signs of frozen nitrogen on Makemake’s
surface. There also has been frozen ethane and methane.

Hello, Haumea!
Surprisingly Haumea has two moons (Hi’aka and Namaka) and is not even completely round!
Now think of a moon with moons with moons on it!
Heamea is one of the fastest rotating objects in our solar system. It takes about 285 earth
years for Haumea to orbit the sun.
Like all the dwarf planets besides Ceres it
lives past Neptune. One of the two moons lives
in a farther distance than the other.
