Natural Resources
The Northeast Region has many natural resources. Natural
resources are from nature or the earth. In the Mid-Atlantic Region,
there is rich farmland. Farmers grow grapes, apples, peaches,
onions, wheat, mushrooms, and corn. In New England, the farm
land is rocky. The farmers grow potatoes. They get maple syrup
from trees. They raise cranberries in “bogs” or a wetland. Farmers
in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions also raise cows, sheep
and pigs. Most cows are “dairy” or for milk.
