The Silk Road is similar to today's Internet as it connected people from all over the Eastern Hemisphere and allowed them to trade ideas, goods, and services. The Silk Road is different from the Internet in that the Internet is a lot quicker than the Silk Road and the Internet connects the entire world, not just the Eastern Hemisphere. 4. The Silk Road promoted cultural diffusion because it connected people all over the Eastern Hemisphere and allowed them to trade products and ideas. Architecture 1.
