Pianist-composer Steve Law pays tribute by performing some of Joplin’s greatest and best loved works. This is not just music Eugenia (1905) The Entertainer (1902) Elite Syncopations (1902) Bethena - A Concert Waltz (1905) full of catchy tunes and jazzy toe tapping The Ragtime Dance (1906) rhythms, but also of great warmth, charm Wall Street Rag (1908) and melancholy. Joplin elevated ragtime The Cascades (1904) from honk-tonk piano to a truly original Rose Leaf Rag (1907) American art form which influenced much Gladiolus Rag (1907) of the early jazz age and popular music that was to follow.
