TARGET AUDIENCE
This program is designed for ophthalmologists and ophthalmology residents in the
New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania areas.
NEEDS STATEMENT
The need for the conference was determined from examining the topics published in
the recent scientific literature. Participants in the course will learn the most current
concepts and practical tips for clinical practice in the following areas: Cataract,
Cornea, Glaucoma, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Ocular Oncology, Oculoplastics, Pediatric
Ophthalmology and Retinal Disease.
OBJECTIVES
As a result of attending this program, participants will learn to:

Manage basic oculoplastic issues.

Manage pediatric ophthalmic disorders better.

Recognize and treat common neuro-ophthalmic problems better.

Learn what neuroimaging tests to order.

Select the proper refractive surgical procedure.

Recommend current wet macular degeneration therapies.

Diagnose and manage many different forms of glaucoma.

Manage glaucoma surgical issues.

Perform and manage cataract surgery patients better.

Exit Pennsylvania Turnpike at Valley Forge Exit 24, onto Schuylkill Expressway (Rt.
76) through Philadelphia to the Walt Whitman Bridge, N/S Freeway to the Atlantic City
Expressway and follow directly south towards Atlantic City, Caesars is located at the
end of the AC Expressway- on the left side as you enter Atlantic City.
From New York and North:
Major interstate highways connect with the Garden State Parkway South to Exit 38
Atlantic City Expressway follow directly south towards Atlantic City, Caesars is located
at the end of the AC Expressway- on the left side as you enter Atlantic City.
From Baltimore/Washington, D.C. and South:
Take 1-95 to the Walt Whitman Bridge (Philadelphia). N/S Freeway to the Atlantic City
