Dear Parents,
Over the next five weeks our History topic will be ‘Before you were
born’. Year 5 will be following a unit of work on a theme that
focuses on The Roman and Greek Civilisations.
We will be learning
The Roman Empire and its impact on Britain:

Julius Caesar’s attempted invasion in 55- 54 bc

British resistance to the Roman invasion

Ancient Greece – life, achievements and influence
We will be exploring both the Roman and Greek empires through hands on
artefacts and we would like to invite you to our class museum- details to
follow.
We will also be having a whole day drama workshop for each class based
on the Romans and the Greeks- more details to follow.
Your child will have a project to complete over the Easter holidays.
PE kits must be in school every day. PE lessons are twice a week.
