REGISTRATION
The Consultation will take place from 30 M ar - 1 Apr 2016
at Hotel Oberoi, New Delhi, India.
Proceedings commence at 0900 hrs on each day until
approximately 1700 hrs.
Participation at the Consultation is by invitation.
Participants are requested to register online
via the Consultation website as early as possible but no
later than 15 March 2015.

REGISTRATION
At the Consultation venue, all the participants are
required to register onsite to receive their document
folder and name badge.

HOTEL
ACCOMMODATION
WHO has negotiated special rates at The Oberoi for
conference attendees. W HO sponsored participants
are requested to stay in Hotel Oberoi for guaranteed
room reservation and to avail special concessionary
rates, which include Wi-Fi access, breakfast and
transfers from and to Indira Gandhi International
Airport. Concessionary rates are also applicable to
non-WHO sponsored participants, if they register
online. The participants are requested to settle their
invoices directly with the hotel. To receive the
special rates, please make your reservation v ia the
online Conference Registration Page.

TRAVEL
ARRANGEMENTS
Airport Transfers: Participants staying at the Oberoi
Hotel will be provided complimentary airport
transfers.
Please provide your itinerary, while
registering online for hotel to arrange airport
transfers. Pre-paid taxi facilities are also available at
airport terminals.
Return bookings should be
reconfirmed as soon as possible.
Local taxis: Taxis in Delhi are normally metered and
the tariff charged as per the meter (tariff schedules
should be available with the drivers).
Visas: Participants are required to carry valid
passports or applicable travel documents. They
should obtain a valid visa for India for the entire
duration of their stay from the relevant Indian
Embassy/High
Commission/Consulates
before
undertaking travel to India. It may be noted that a
visa will be granted only if the passport remains
valid for a minimum period of six months. In all cases,
travelers are reminded that visas will not be issued on
arrival in India.

CONNECTIVITY
WHO has negotiated free Wi-Fi connection for all
participants staying at Hotel Oberoi.
BANKING
SERVICES
Local currency: The monetary unit of Indian currency
is the Rupee. Currency notes are available in
denominations of Rupees 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and
1,000; coins: Rupee 1, 2 5 and 10. The prevailing
market rate of exchange (subject to change) is INR
68.23 per US dollar (as of 10 Feb 2016).
Currency Exchange Services / foreign exchange:
Alternatively, there are currency exchange counters
located at the International airport. Please note that
while the currency counters at the airport exchange
currency both ways, from foreign to domestic and
also from domestic to foreign, the counter in the
hotel would only be able to exchange the currency
from foreign to domestic.
Travelers’ cheques/credit cards: US dollar and UK
pound sterling and other travelers’ cheques can be
encashed at most banks and from authorized
“money changers”. M ost banks and hotels accept
major international credit cards, such as American
Express, Diners Club, VISA and Master Card.

Vaccination
Requirement:

vaccinations
recommended for India are Diphtheria, T etanus,
Polio, Cholera, Typhoid and Hepatitis A and B.

Electricity: The electric current in Delhi is 220 volts AC,
50 cycles, single phase, but actual voltage may vary.
