Climate Change Heroes and Villains Trading Card Contest Who is your Hero? What about Villains? Transit Transporter? Gas Guzzler? Polar Protector? Ice Cap Melter? Car Pooler? The Idler? Carbon Free Man? Carbon Spewer? The Tree Planter? Climate Changer? Zero Waste Woman? Garbage Dumper? Water Watcher? Energy Waster? The Composter? Methane Man? Your Climate Change character could become a trading card to help promote environmental initiatives in the Okanagan! Don’t forget to come up with a name a brief description of your character! Use the suggestions above and below for ideas – or create your own! Heroes might: Villains might: - Carpool, bicycle, take transit, prevent idling, never burn garbage or yard waste - Reduce, reuse, recycle, buy less and buy things second hand, compost, plant trees, grow their own food - Save water, take shorter showers, turn off the tap, turn down the heat at home - Save energy, turn off lights, unplug unused electronics, turn off computers - let their cars idle, drive instead of walk, litter, buy unnecessary and over packaged products, make lots of garbage - waste water and energy, burn garbage - Include pollutants such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane, ground level ozone, smog, greenhouse gases - Increase climate change and have effects on the weather, temperature or rainfall
