 Phone: 464­5184 John Fry Principal George Bissett Elementary School 170 Arklow Drive Dartmouth, NS B2W 4R6 [email protected] Fax: 464­5187 Sherry Scoville Vice Principal Linda Wright Secretary Grade 1 Teachers: Mr. Pendlebury and Ms. Henderson To assist you in purchasing school supplies for your child, we have prepared this list of materials. 1­ 3­prong duotang , white, paper 1­ 3­prong duotang, purple, plastic 1­ two pocket folder, green, plastic 1­ Hilroy 72­page small notebook (1/2 plain, 1/2 lined), cover is green 1­ Hilroy 72­page small notebook (pages are completely plain), cover is blue 1­ pack lined paper (looseleaf) 1­ pack index cards 3"x5" (no lines preferred) 1­ pack 8 crayons (Crayola preferred) 2­ packs 24 crayons (Crayola preferred) 1­ pack 8 markers, original colours (no scented markers) 1­ pack 12 skinny markers 20­ HB #2 pencils (please sharpen all of them so that they are ready to use) 1­ pair scissors 5­ large glue sticks (40 grams) 1­ bottle white glue, liquid 1­ plastic kit box to hold supplies (Dollar Store is fine) 5­ white board markers 1­ scrapbook, coil bound (Dollar Store is fine) 10­ page protectors with holes (plastic) 5­ Ziploc freezer bags, large 1 pair of indoor sneakers If an item is requested in a specific color; please try your best to purchase that color. The color coding is important for classroom organization/consistency. The first day of school is very busy! Please help by taking all items out of their packaging. Please fill your child‛s kitbox with scissors, 1 glue stick, the box of 8 crayons, and 2 sharpened pencils.. Please put all other items in a Ziploc bag labeled with your child‛s full name. The bags will be collected on the first day of school and stored in the classroom so your child can access his/her supplies when needed. If you find purchasing school supplies a financial challenge, please contact Mr. Fry.
