Sunflower Oil.
Sunflower is native to hot, sunny regions of Mexico. It was Introduced into Europe at the end of the 16th century, and its culture was
particularly developed in Russia in the 19th century, and in Western Europe since 1950. The plant is essentially grown for sunflower oil, which
is obtained by cold pressing of the seeds. This oil possesses highly appreciated dietetic properties due to its especially unsaturated fatty acid
composition.
Sunflower Oil is obtained by extraction, followed by evaporation and dissolution. The solution is a clear, slightly coloured liquid extract, rich in
stabilized polyphenols.
Sunflower Oil is a major natural ingredient, with properties which make it suitable for use in hair care: protective and reparative effects on the
outer sheath of the hair.

+ It acts by neutralizing the UV photo-induced oxidative radicals and is effective both as
a preventive application and a reparative treatment.
These remarkable properties also give it the ability to protect coloured hair. When applied
regularly, it prevents loss of hair colour as a result of repeated shampooing as well as that
caused by daily exposure to high doses of UVA-UVB.
