APS is recruiting for a Web Designer. The Web Designer is a member of the APS Strategic Stakeholder Relations team, reporting to the Manager, Digital Media. This individual is responsible for the creation of multiple design projects in all mediums. The candidate will also make updates to current websites, ensuring that live sites are updated in a timely manner. The candidate will have a cutting-edge understanding of digital, interactive and online design trends and techniques, and possess the ability to develop high quality online materials, to ensure our brand consistency and quality is displayed throughout all design projects. Qualifications: Degree, diploma, or certificate in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Web Design, or any related field of study; Three or more years of experience in web design and front-end development; Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Proficiency with HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, XHML-5 & legacy HTML; Experience working as an administrator with various CMSs; Experience with print and corporate print branding materials; Strong understanding of mobile technologies and responsive web design; and A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional design aesthetic. Plus Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite; Proficiency with HTML5, CSS, PHP, JavaScript and JQuery; Proficiency in using content management systems; Advance print and typography skills; Advance Fluid and responsive design knowledge; Proficient in creating custom graphics, both vector or raster, with the ability to edit and manipulate photos and multimedia objects; A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best developmental practices; Knowledge of all current and trending design standards and practices; Operating knowledge of information and communications technology and digital workflows; Working knowledge of the pension and/or financial industry; and Knowledge of website usage statistics and how to interpret them to measure against communications goals. Knowledge of Google Analytics, Webtrends, AdWords and other analytic tools. Skills and Abilities Integration and implementation.
