Greek and Roman Gods
Prior to ancient Romans and Greeks, there was little scientific understanding of the
world and how it worked. Stories involving the Greek and Roman gods were
created to explain such things as thunder, lightning, earthquakes, and other
phenomenon. You are going to do a research project over the Greek and Roman
gods. You will have choices on how to present your project. Everyone must write a
one page to one and a half page report about the god or goddess.
One page report-EVERYONE MUST DO!!!
12 point font, one full page, MUST BE TYPED!!
Explain who the god or goddess was and what made them so important.
Compare and Contrast: You may choose to compare and contrast a Roman and
Greek god that are similar. For instance Jupiter and Zeus are both the main gods.
What makes them the same, and how are they different? Are they the patron god or goddess for
towns in ancient Rome or Greece? Are their symbols or animals that represent them the same?
How do the characteristics of the gods and goddesses change? You can write a one to one and a
half page paper.
