Glass Series Switches – GS-700 family description The Glass Series Switches - GS-700 is a family of low voltage capacitive touch surface switches for lighting, fan, drape, make-up-room, privacy notification and similar applications. They are the newest eco-friendly member of INNCOM’s Integrated Room Automation System (IRAS) and are available in various configurations. The GS-700 Family is available in US standard size wall plates. The GS-720 can be equipped with up to five touch switchs to meet application specific requirements. In addition to controlling lights it can be used to select and control guestroom equipment, guestroom status or to request services such as butler, maid or food tray pickup. n FCC, UL, CE Mark, and CCC Compliant The Glass Series Switch has an on-board control module where the functions assigned to each switch are stored in software. This module is then connected to load bearing relays or dimmers that control lighting or other class 1 loads. When it is a member of the IRAS, any switch can be configured to control lights or functions associated with any other device that is a member of the IRAS. Master ON/OFF and light scenes are typically used in this case, however, functions other than light control such as privacy, make-up room and ecoMODE™ can also be assigned to these buttons. Master entry operation The Glass Series Switch is activated by the user touching the capacitance switching glass surface. Each switch surface is typically identified with an ICON or text. They are also provided with a color LED that can be configured as a pilot light that provides visual orientation in a dark room or an indicator light that provides a visual status depending on the function of the button. Designers have the ability to create unique designs as long as the location of the sensors and LED’s remain in the same area as the standard layouts.
