Impact of Hunting on
Species Diversity
Factors, effects and solutions
Introduction
Hunting is a very critical topic since it can either harm or 
benefit the ecosystem. In this presentation you will
hopefully learn more about the factors, effects and
solutions regarding the relationship between hunting and
the diversity of species.
Over-Exploitation
Over-exploitation is also a large problem for wildlife. Fish 
are a very good example of this. Every year over 80
million fish are caught for human consumption.
Species Trade
Species trade is a very big problem in many countries. 
(ivory from elephant tusks, coral, sea turtle shells and
reptile skins are popular souvenirs that threaten species)
Traditions
Other products, like traditional Chinese medicines, can 
also be made using threatened and endangered animals.
For example, tiger bone was often used to help relieve
swelling and pain.
Indiscriminate Hunting
Indiscriminate hunting of large numbers of wildlife will 
have a negative impact on species populations,
particularly if reproductive females or young males are
targeted.
Effects Of Hunting on
species
Positive effects
Hunting effects many things, 
including our own environment.
Although generally most of the
affects are negative, there are some
positive effects to the environment.
The positive effects include
population control. Hunters kill
animals that have large population,
and this can cause those animals to
die out due to the lack of food.
Hunting these animals will help
with population.
Negaitive effects
 there are also many negative affects
to hunting. Hunting affects the
biosphere, which is where the living
organisms exist, it affects the
biosphere because wildlife is directly
related to the biosphere and hunting
disrupts natural order. Over hunting
will cause the decline in the particular
animals species, this will effect
everything around it, for example
other animals, plants and trees.
How To Stop
Hunting
Some of our animals are extinct
because of hunting, and some of them
are at risk of being extinct. Some wild
animals are almost extinct. In Africa,
there are tigers, lions, and zebras.
Some of them are at risk just living in
the hot jungle and forests; their
homes. protection for these poor
animals; wild or domestic, they are our
responsibility and we have to keep
them safe.
Conclusion
Overall, hunting could be useful to some hunters in the 
wild and in desserts, they don’t have the right to kill
those “innocent” animals by any means. Although they
could be useful for their fur or teeth, they are in the end
living things like us. And if we keep killing these animals
like deer, lions, tigers, and moose, they would by then
become extinct and then these animals wont be roaming
the Earth anymore.
