Boat Sticker Policy

Annual Boat Sticker Requirements










All boats physically in the waters of any Fairfield Glade lake must properly display a current FGCC
boat sticker on each side of the boat’s bow.
The valid period for boat sticker purchase and proper placement prior to fine is July 1st to June 30th.
Property owners and FGCC Employees (Full time or Part time/Seasonal) who own a boat may
purchase an annual sticker. All stickers must be purchased by card holder in person or via on-line
Boat Sticker Contract (Refer to: http://www.fairfieldglade.cc/Recreation/Marinas.aspx).
As required by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), all mechanically powered vessels
and all sailboats which are principally used in Tennessee must be registered and display the HIN (Hull
Identification Number). Refer to: http://www.tn.gov/twra/boatregistrations.html
Renters within the boundaries of FGCC who have leasing guest cards for 3 months or more can
purchase an annual boat sticker.
House guests of members who have a guest card for 3 months or more can purchase an annual boat
sticker, as long as the sponsoring member signs the Boat Sticker Contract Form.
A class “A” sticker must be placed on ALL motorized (gas, electric, solar, etc) boats to include
pontoon, fishing, inflatable, pleasure and sailboats over 12 ft.
A class “B” sticker must be placed on non-motorized boats to include kayaks, canoes, paddle boats,
paddle boards, row boats, inflatable boats and sailboats 12 ft. and under.
Placement of boat stickers is defined in the boat sticker placement guide that is available at the
marinas and on line.
Nonconformance with this policy will result in a fine as identified in the fine structure below.
Temporary Boat Sticker Requirements





Temporary boat stickers for class “A” and “B” stickers for a period of 1-14 days are available at the
marinas along with a refundable deposit of $25 to be returned upon return of the sticker.
Guests of property owners and FGCC and Wyndham employees, by appearing in person, may
purchase a temporary sticker for a boat not owned by them for a period not to exceed 14 days
and/or not to exceed the date on the card of their guest.
Timeshare visitors may purchase a temporary sticker not to exceed their guest card expiration date.
Any attempt to use a temporary sticker after the expiration date will be cause for confiscation of the
stickers and forfeiture of the deposit.
Nonconformance with this policy will result in a fine as identified in the fine structure below.
Fine Structure



The fine for not purchasing and properly placing a boat sticker for the current year is $50 plus the
cost of the sticker for the first year offense; $100 plus the cost of the sticker for the second year
offense; and $200 plus the cost of the sticker for the third year offense. The fine will continue to
double from the previous year thereafter.
Once a ticket is issued, the fine will be due. There will be no grace period.
Non-payment of the fine will result in the fine added to the member property owners’ account
through FGCC Accounts Receivable.
