Name ___________________________________________________________________ Cell Cycle Poster Instructions This is a way to organize each stage of the cell cycle in poster form. In this poster you will draw an image of a cell in each stage of the cell cycle and write a brief description of what is going on at each stage. There is a Power Point presentation on Ms. Bell’s website that you can use to help you organize your booklet – USE THE POWER POINT!! How to put the poster together: In each square: -‐Write the name of the stage and phase at the top or the bottom of the square -‐Draw what the cell looks like during that stage -‐Label the cell parts -‐Explain what is happening during that phase in a bulleted list. DO NOT write a paragraph, this is going to be a study aid, a list is better than wading through a big paragraph. Follow this pattern (title of the stage and phase, labeled image of the cell, and description of what’s happening) for all of the stages and phases of the Cell Cycle. The order should go like this: Square 1: Interphase – G1 Square 2: Interphase – S Square 3: Interphase – G2 Square 4: Mitosis – Prophase Square 5: Mitosis – Metaphase Square 6: Mitosis – Anaphase Square 7: Mitosis – Telophase Square 8: Cytokinesis in plant cells Square 9: Cytokinesis in animal cells This is a GRADED homework assignment worth 5 points! It is due on Thursday 2/19
