Axis Main Idea: The Treaty of Versailles led to an unstable peace in Europe, and resentment in several European countries. Economic depression, a nationalistic need to restore pride, and anger over the results of WWI led several countries to search for someone to blame, someone else to lead them, and a way to succeed anew.
