is the range of
temperature at
which food is in
Danger of being
unsafe.

Understanding the “Danger
Zone” is critical, because
bacteria can multiply rapidly in
any perishable food that is left
in the “Danger Zone” for more
than two hours.
The temperature range of the
“Danger Zone” is between 41°
and 135° F. Cold foods should
be below above 41° and hot
foods above 135° to stay OUT
of the “Danger Zone”.
Remember...
COLD below 41°
HOT above 135°
